This Privacy Policy explains how SabiRecord (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our inventory, point-of-sale, and business management service (the “Service”). The Service is operated by EMOEFE Digitals.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to business owners, administrators, sales representatives, and anyone who accesses SabiRecord on behalf of a business workspace. It also applies to visitors who contact us through our website.
2. Information we collect
Account and business information
- Name, email address, and password (or Google sign-in identifier when you use Google authentication)
- Business name, workspace settings, and team membership
- Billing and subscription details processed through our payment partner (Paystack)
Business data you enter
- Products, inventory levels, prices, and stock movements
- Sales transactions, payment methods, credit sales, and customer names or notes you choose to record
- Sales team activity, correction requests, and operational logs generated by normal use
Technical and usage information
- Device type, browser, IP address, and session identifiers
- Offline sync status, POS device registration, and push notification tokens (if enabled)
- Support messages and contact form submissions
3. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process subscriptions, invoices, and plan limits
- Send transactional emails (account, billing, security, and support)
- Detect abuse, enforce plan limits, and protect account security
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information or your business transaction data to third parties for advertising.
4. Payment processing
Subscription payments are handled by Paystack. We receive payment confirmation and limited billing metadata from Paystack; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. Paystack’s handling of payment data is governed by their own privacy policy.
Payment methods recorded at checkout (cash, transfer, POS) refer to how your customers pay you. That information is stored in your workspace for your business records.
5. How we share information
We may share information only in these situations:
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics tools that help us run the Service
- Within your workspace — owners and authorized team members can access data for the businesses they belong to
- Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required
6. Data retention
We retain account and business data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records may be retained where the law requires.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, session protection, and CSRF protection on mutating requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and using strong credentials.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Business owners can update account details in Settings. To exercise other rights, contact support@sabirecord.local.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use session cookies to keep you signed in and protect against cross-site request forgery. The progressive web app (PWA) may store product and sales data locally on your device for offline use; that data syncs to your workspace when you reconnect.
10. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards when data is transferred internationally.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
